Hey guys, this will be is my first blog entry in english. And I’m really excited because it has been awhile since I wrote in a foreign language. Usually I write in german. Last year the Vegan Mofo caught my eye and my first thought was that I wanted to be part of this great community. Cruelty free nutrition was my little dream. Due to some health complications I wasn’t able to cook vegan and vegetarian. But now the world is at my feet.
Over the last years I got some food allergies. First I didn’t wanted to be vegan altough I could have managed it somehow. A few days ago I’ve been told that I got some more allergies or intolerances . “Oh no, please!” But in the end it’s not that worse for me. My alternative practitioner told me I am allergic to those foods:
- ewe’s milk and goat’s milk
- eggs / chicken
- lamb
- wheat, rye & spelt
- hazelnuts > cross sensitivity to peas and chickpeas and all nuts (including brazil nuts too)
Additionally you might be interested in my previous allergies:
- cow’s milk
- nuts
- bell pepper, paprika & chili
- pineapple
- oyster
- shrimps
- celiac disease (diet since 5 weeks)
The omnivores around me are horrified by this list. When I see it I think my nutrition is a huge task I have to cope. Yes, it’s energy-sapping and difficult. But it’s the greatest chance to become alive and kicking again. Until my body gets better it takes time. I feel encouraged
